This Privacy Policy describes how Codemongous LLC, a California limited liability company, and its affiliates (collectively, "Company", “we”, “our”). For purposes of this Policy, “affiliate” means any entity that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with Codemongous LLC, collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you interact with our website (the "Site") and the downloadable software products we license (the "Software"). This Policy is separate from, but complementary to, our Terms of Use and End-User License Agreement, which govern your legal relationship with us regarding specific services and products.

Sharecast

Effective date: October 5, 2026

This section explains how Sharecast, our Windows app for sharing part of your screen in meeting apps, handles your information. It adds to the policy above; where the two differ for Sharecast, this section applies.

In short: Sharecast works entirely on your PC. It does not connect to the internet, has no accounts, and sends us nothing. What it captures goes only to the meeting app you choose to share it in.

What Sharecast captures

Sharecast shows the part of your screen inside its red frame in a window called "Sharecast Mirror - share this window", which you can share in Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet or another meeting app. To do this it uses Windows' screen capture, and only while it is sharing (not while it is paused or hidden in the tray).

The captured picture is held in your PC's memory only long enough to draw it. Sharecast does not save, record or send it anywhere. When you share the mirror window in a meeting app, that app receives what the window shows, and its own privacy policy applies to it.

What Sharecast stores on your PC

Settings: the frame's position and size, the frame rate, whether the share shows the mouse pointer, your keyboard shortcuts, your size presets and whether you have seen the "How to share" guide.
A log and crash reports: a record of what the app did (for example, when sharing was paused), kept for this run and the one before, and a report each time the app crashes (the newest ten are kept). These contain no screen contents. They can include your Windows user name (as part of folder paths), the names and sizes of your displays, the frame's position and your Windows version.

These files stay on your PC. We see them only if you choose to send them to us, for example by attaching a crash report to a support email. Uninstalling Sharecast deletes them.

Information that reaches us through Microsoft

Purchases and the free trial are handled by the Microsoft Store under Microsoft's privacy statement. Sharecast only asks Windows whether it is in its trial or has been bought. We never receive your payment details; Microsoft gives us sales and installation reports, which are mostly aggregated.
Crash reports: if Sharecast crashes, Windows Error Reporting may send a report to Microsoft, as your Windows diagnostic data settings allow (Settings > Privacy > Diagnostics & feedback). Microsoft makes these available to us in Partner Center, its dashboard for app publishers. A report has technical details such as the app version, the Windows version and where in the app the crash happened, and some reports include part of the app's memory at the time of the crash, which could include part of the screen being shared. We use crash reports only to find and fix problems, and we do not try to identify you from them.

What Sharecast does not do

Sharecast has no analytics, advertising or tracking. It does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts or files, and it does not read the contents of other windows except the part of the screen you put inside its frame.

Starting at sign-in

If you turn on "Start Sharecast when I sign in", Windows starts it for you. This is a Windows setting that stays on your PC; you can turn it off in Sharecast's settings or in Windows (Settings > Apps > Startup).

Children

Sharecast is not directed at children under 13, and it sends us no information about anyone.
